Summation and product symbols: $\sum$, $\prod$ (and friends $\bigcup$, $\bigcap$!)

The symbols $\sum$, $\prod$, $\bigcup$ and $\bigcap$ all behave in an extremely similar way. They define some kind of series of operations using indices that get combined. First, we will go through the basic case for $\sum$ and $\prod$, as they use basic math operations. Afterwards we will only look at different ways people put indices on these symbols, which works the same for all of them and then finish with the specifics regarding $\bigcup$, $\bigcap$.
